THIS SITE IS VERY OUT OF DATE AND IN GREAT NEED OF UPDATING. David ____________--- David Shehi is just another dopeless HOPE fiend. He has traveled the road of live music extraordinaire. From his initial encounter with The Grateful Dead in '95 at the ripe old age of 14, David has not stopped and his indulgence has since progressed to what he now says is a "feeling of spiritual transcendence" when at live shows. In fact, he says that he "experiences God to the highest extent through the power of sound waves." Chances are that if you see live music in the Southeast, you have bumped into David or his lens along the way. David's work has been featured by many notable publications including Relix, Honest Tune Magazine, Jambase and artists including Trey Anastasio,Matisyahu, Disco Biscuits, George Porter Jr., Perpetual Groove, and Lotus. He has worked with some of the biggest names in the business both on the Jam and mainstream fronts including Phish, Kings of Leon, Austin City Limits, Tom Petty, and M.I.A. When not engaging these passions, you will find David involved in his other passion, counseling alcohol and other drug addicts, or just enjoying life in general with his wife, Casey, and his infant son, Lyle. Please join him as he shares his passion for music through some of his most recent photography and thank you for stopping by! David is the Live Music Editor at Honest Tune Magazine and has recently began a regular column for Honest Tune Magazine entitled: The Corner of Dopeless and HOPE David recently completed a book of his photography and observations. The book entitled Dopeless HOPE Imagining: The End of a Decade in Jam was compiled as a 100% donation for The Mimi Fishman Foundation and focuses solely on the world of jam in 2009.
